• Bi-monthly HOA Board Meeting Dates
The board of directors has adopted a new meeting schedule for the upcomming year. The bi-monthly meetings will occurr every other month on the 4th Wednesday beginning in January 2012. This sets the dates at 1/25/2012, 3/28/2012, 5/23/2012, 7/25/2012, 9/26/2012, and 11/28/2012.

Also, we have a tentative Annual Meeting date for next year of 10/27/2012.
• Annual Dues
Just a reminder, the dues for 2012 have changed. The new fees are:
  • $78.75 for single family homes
  • $114.74 for town homes

Vandalism
There have been a number of recent acts of vandalism in the neighborhood. Please keep your eyes out for suspicious behavoir. Also, talk to your children to see if they've seen anyone doing anything.

• Volunteer
This community can only be as good as we make it. I encourage everyone to volunteer some time to build this neighborhood into a true community. We have a number of things we could use help on. Also, if you have an idea you'd like to implement, please let us know at mfha_board@maddexfarm.org.

• Annual HOA Meeting
The annual meeting was held at the train station. There were 36 members represented in person or by proxy. The newly elected board members are:

Annual Fall Yard Sale
Thanks to everyone that participated in the fall yard sale on such short notice. It seems to have been a success!

We'll look to have another yard sale sometime in the spring; usually around April or May. Look for sign-up sheets at the annual meeting on Oct. 22nd or you can send an email to events@maddexfarm.org.

• Suspicious Activity
There have been a number of incidents of vandalism and theft over the past few months. We encourage residents to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.

There are a few things every resident can do to help:
  1. Lock your vehicles at night
  2. Keep all valuables out of sight.
  3. Turn on your porch and garage lights at night. WalMart sells LED lights for about $6.00 each.

• VOLUNTEER MADDEX FARM!

Our community can only be as active and successful as you make it!  Maddex Farm has a number of committees that are seeking volunteers.  Whether your interest is building a playground, writing a newsletter, building a website, or serving on the board of directors, we want YOU!  If you have an interest or idea that isn't already here, that is okay too!  Bring your ideas and let's build it together!

• Residents on Maddex Farm Dr. reported decals and license plates being stolen. This occurs mostly on the East side of the community where the light posts are still pending.
• Cars parked on Maddex Dr. and Maddex Farm Dr. are causing congestion, making it difficult for residents, plows and school busses to pass through our community.
• Some manhole covers are still exposed and need to be paved over. PMP will discuss this with the builder to see if this can be remedied promptly.
• Street Lights – We need Allegheny Power to do a site survey of the remaining areas for lights. The ordering of the lights is still pending. The lights have been approved for ordering.
• A walking path has been proposed for access between Mole Ct. and Wheat Ct.. Quotes were reviewed for sidewalk repair within the community.
• All tentative event dates proposed for upcoming 2011 events were accepted:

- Cleanup and Mulching – 4/2/2011, with a rain date of 4/9/2011.
- Community Yard Sale – 4/30/2011, with a rain date of 5/14/2011.
- Community Dumpster – 5/11/2011 – 5/20/2011.
- Back to School Block Party – 9/17/2011, with a rain date of 9/24/2011.
- Halloween Hike – 10/31/2011.
